MP: Armenia’s state government system has not exhausted itself

20/05/2014

The state government system of Armenia has not exhausted itself if used completely, and there is a possibility to develop it, MP Edmon Marukyan told reporters on the sidelines of the public debate on the draft concept of constitutional reform.

According to the MP, the main problems in our country lie in the political system, rather than in their constitutional solutions.

Proper use of Constitutional Court’s decisions will have an impact on the political system, he said.

“If a referendum on constitutional reform is held in Armenia, dealing with these problems, rehabilitation of the political system and competitive policy must be set as minimum threshold and it will have an impact on other systems,” Marukyan stressed.
